Today, pharmacies are generally paid using complex measures that aren’t directly based on what they spent to purchase specific drugs.

While trying to salvage a deal that allowed grains to be safely exported from Ukraine's Black Sea ports, the United Nations earlier this year arranged for JP Morgan to operate a special payments link with the Russian bank. The Anti-Defamation League, a Jewish advocacy group, said of the 312 reported antisemitic incidents it has recorded between Oct. 7 and Oct. 23, 190 were related to the war, an increase unlike anything the group has seen tied to a specific event.
